I wonder if everything should come naturally. And I wonder if men have the same kind of guides Maybe their only guide is "how to nail them fast".

But back on the book. This book is an entertaining guide to help women to recognize "wrong" men and stay away from them! I have to say, I read some of those kind of book 4. I have to say, I read some of those kind of books because I found them very entertaining, even when I read things that could be written by my grand-mother. Concepts like "to get something you have to work maybe hard " or "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free" if you know what I mean.

My granny used to say the same things but maybe in Italian! Now man-woman relationship is a bit different but sometimes I wonder if we lost something after all those battles for having the same rights as men. The sad fact is that often we are unable to be heartless as men, so In that book there are several kinds of men, the same we have already met sometime in our life well maybe not all of them! Sometimes the book described very serious situations that made me think a lot. I recommend this book for everyone, women who already have a good man and the ones still searching Jun 28, Evelyn rated it it was amazing.

It is a fact that self-improvement is achieved from within, so we have to find the source of our problematic behavior. However, equally important is to realize and recognize the symptoms of our latent attitude. The image a woman has for herself is reflected very clearly in the way she behaves in her relationships. Reading this book you can see this reflection by recognizing all those behaviors that undermine yourself and your intimate relationships.

It is torrential, straightforward and honest. W It is a fact that self-improvement is achieved from within, so we have to find the source of our problematic behavior. With an exquisitely structured manner of writing, Sylvia has managed to present the absolute woman's relationships Do's and Don't's guide. However, in reality it is not a guide that tells you "what to do". It is something much more and that's why you have to read it from the first page to the last!

It is actually describes the natural behavior of every woman that respects and appreciates herself! I liked it a lot because it is telling the truth unequivocally and it is certainly a book that you will read at least twice! Jun 28, Karen Perkins rated it really liked it. I enjoyed the book and found it very interesting, written in a refreshing, take-no-prisoners style which often had the feel of a good friend giving me advice in the pub! This is a great book if you are trying to make sense of a break-up, written from the female perspective, but also sympathetic to the male well, at least in part.

There is good advice, empowering the reader and promoting understanding and empathy. It did seem a little bitter at times, but to be honest, who isn't after a break up I enjoyed the book and found it very interesting, written in a refreshing, take-no-prisoners style which often had the feel of a good friend giving me advice in the pub!

It did seem a little bitter at times, but to be honest, who isn't after a break up? And sometimes a little bit of bitterness wrapped up in a hug and laughter is just what we need. There's no hiding from the truth here. I recognised one or two of the men Sylvia describes! Jun 24, Jessica Leigh rated it it was amazing. She says it all with her quote "Think like a man and you'll make him play your game, not his.

Smart really does not feel that deep relationships are a "game" but gives sage - and blunt - advice on the ways that men and women both think and feel quite differently - and why. At the same time, she is able to make the reader feel better about herself, and WHY certain t She says it all with her quote "Think like a man and you'll make him play your game, not his.

At the same time, she is able to make the reader feel better about herself, and WHY certain tell-tale behaviors should never be tolerated when dating. If we know the "traps" before we fall into them, the easier it is to spot the con men, and pass them over for the real winners. I best like the fact that she goes over a million different scenarios in this book - so no matter what your "issue" might be, she's got it covered.

Very worthwhile read if you are venturing into a new relationship and feel a little scared, hesitant, or insecure. It's the "you-go-girl" pep talk you need, with step by step strategies to back it up. Jul 06, Jessa Callaver rated it really liked it. A stark and educational read. Very straightforward in its advice, it offers lots of helpful and practical recommendations for the 21st century woman seeking to date and find 'her guy. All too often, I find, a lot of dating advice books written for women by women deride the modern single woman, telling them what's wrong with them while interlacing it with advice here and there. I applaud the 'you deserve a decent guy because you're an amazing woman' undercurrent present in Smart's book.

Though I found some of the quotes from real daters felt a bit contrived and some of her generalizations felt An interesting self-help offering, and one whose advice I hope to use going forward. Jun 30, Tia Shorts rated it it was amazing. Ladies, I could not put this book down! It gave me a renewed sense of confidence and hope when it comes to dating and choosing the right mate. Not only did I gain more insight into the male mind, but I actually found myself reflecting on my past dating mistakes and discovering why I was attracting the wrong type of guy.

I learned a lot, but most of all I discovered more about myself. If you are going through a tough or depressing break up, you will certainly feel better after reading this book.
