A bit dissapointing, and not nearly as funny as the tv-series. Mar 03, Beth rated it liked it. I'm giving this three stars just because it's Family Guy. If it wasn't, though, it would get two stars. I was disappointed that the stories in this book were just reenactments of TV episodes. I was hoping for something fresh. Feb 06, Andrew Harrington added it.

As I am of the younger generations when i look upon a show as great as this of course I am going to think "this is the greatest show in the world". But if i was to give an unbiased description of it I would say something along the lines of "It is an animated set of comedy stories that follow around a family of five as they experience their crazy adventures.

But i must warn you if yo As I am of the younger generations when i look upon a show as great as this of course I am going to think "this is the greatest show in the world". But i must warn you if you do watch it you may get offended because some of their jokes tend to be cruel and harsh. The characters are based on a family: The Griffins. He also has mad lust for Louis; Stewie's Meg's and Chris's mom. Peter is the dumb father of Meg Chris and Stewie. He acts like a child He is also a drunk like Brian He works for a brewery for his family which isn't the best because he is a drunk.

Louis: The stay at home mom who takes care of Stewie as he tries to kill her. Stewie is a small child who has some extreme smarts unlike his brother Chris who is the complete opposite. And finally Meg Well she gets messed with a lot because she isn't the most attractive.

But what he considers brain wash is to get us humans to binge for hours at time while he commits evil acts of crime. Or he is just a greedy human who wants to take control of his depressing life by throwing money at all his problems and when he starts to run dry on his intake he creates a new episode.

The setting behind these brainwashing episodes change because the watcher would most likely get quite bored if they stayed in a set setting. But the setting mainly revolves behind the protagonist or main characters and where their adventures take them.

But mostly just revolve around either their house town or state. But more specifically the bar that Peter goes to or his work. The school that Chris and Meg go. The house for Brian Louis and Stewie. They are considered on how each other act wards another character.

Some of the characters get into fights and the viewer must pick which one is the protagonist and antagonist for them so i can't just label them. The antagonist to me fit more with the secondary characters even if they are not mentioned as secondary characters. But i would describe one of the antagonist as Herbert. Herbert is a pervert who has a special interest in Chris he is old and always asks Chris if he wants some popsicle's which one would figure he would rape Chris.

Another i would like to think is Quagmire He tends to ruffie girls and have sex with them. It doesn't make him a threat to the main characters but i don't think a protagonist would do that. The conflict changes in each episode but tends to happen to one of the main characters. At that point it usually gets all of the some of the main characters involved or all of them.

Each episode is different and each conflict is different no episode is ever the same unless it is just a continuation of a episode. The rising action is near the start but not too close to the intro.

It is before the protagonist get their mission that leads up to the climax. At this point in the episode some things have happened that intrigues the characters and makes them want to persuade a quest. The climax is near the middle of the episode and usually starts when the characters are on a mission.

When something big happens in the show it tends to be the climax and revolves around the protagonist. At this point they are the closest ever to completing their quest or whatever they are doing in the episode. This usually ends with the characters meeting up and converse on what happened to each other throughout the day. At this point the protagonist have completed the quest. They are laughing and joking to each other to get that laugh out of you before it ends.

This part is usually funny to keep you wanted more from a next episode. With another totally different compared to the last episode. The final end of the show usually ends with a catchy beat that you get as the episode starts. The only difference is that at the start you have the characters singing. But it is upbeat and kind of makes you want to dance or sing along it keeps you waiting for the next one. The secondary characters consist of people who don't show up in every episode.

There are a bunch of secondary characters so i will only list a few; Quagmire Cleveland Herbert Joe. Cleveland is a black friend of peter he drinks with their group of guys. Herbert a pervert who has an extreme interest in Chris. Quagmire Another man whore like Brian but actually has a hate wards him apart of the group of friends that drink with Peter.

Joe An ex police officer who is technically still on duty because he does catch people and turn them in but i assume because he is handicap that he doesn't work for them anymore. Because if I'm a child you know what that makes you? A Pedophile. And I'll be damned if I'm gonna be lectured by a pervert.

Family Guy Episode Quotes – Hilarious Lines by Peter and Others

This is the theory, you know how Family Guy got more mean-spirited as the series went on, well this is all because the characters are dead, and they are trying to make for crimes they've committed while they were alive, here are some examples:. Peter: A bullying, womanizing sociopath in life who abused his family, making them terrified of him. This was why he was paired with the others, to see if he could carry on with his behaviour if his family didn't take it lying down. He still hasn't learned his lesson and is only wanting to finish his punishment as easily and quickly as possible. Lois: A vain woman who used her body to get what she wanted, very promiscuous possibly sleeping with married men and obsessed with fashion and social hierarchy, sometimes to the point that it clouds her better judgement.

Machine : You have new messages. Lois Griffin : Oh my! Herbert : Uh, yeah, I was just wonderin', uh

Red-headed lady reaching for an apple Gonna take a bite, nope, nope She's gonna breathe on it first wipe it on her blouse. But where will you go? I'll go where I'm needed. There's an evil monkey in my closet! TOM: I don't care, Son.

Mr. Herbert from Family Guy.

John Herbert , nicknamed " Herbert the Pervert ", is a fictional character in the animated television series Family Guy. He is voiced by Mike Henry , who also created the character. He first appeared in the season 3 episode " To Love and Die in Dixie ". He is attracted to young boys, and harbors unrequited love for Chris Griffin , though most other citizens of Quahog are oblivious to his sexuality. Henry defines Herbert as a homosexual pedophile , although speaking in clinical terms this is not the case. Herbert has received mixed reviews from critics, who have expressed varying opinions on the pedophilia-related humor involving the character. Herbert has appeared in various Family Guy merchandise and has made several crossover appearances in The Cleveland Show , a Family Guy spin-off. In his first appearance, " To Love and Die in Dixie " season 3 , , Herbert attempts to seduce Chris inside the house by offering him a popsicle that Herbert insists is in his basement.

Mike Henry: John Herbert

They call me Zen-man, the cool-headed one, the protector. I keep an eye out for everyone, take them in, find them homes. They think I'm the calm and collected one, the self-assured one, the one who knows the way. They think they see me.

I'm a lot of things—a screwup, a basket case, a flunky. I don't want to be tempted by that rugged rancher. By his chiseled muscles or southern charm or the way he snuggles his kids at bedtime. Ethan Carter won't get the key to my heart, no matter how much I want him. What sane man trying to rebuild his life wants a hot nanny with long, sexy hair, curves for miles, and a smart mouth? A perfectly kissable, pouty mouth that I shouldn't notice.

Here we have put together some of the funniest quotes. They have made hundreds of episodes so it is a bit tricky to squeeze all the best bits in to one page. If you want to watch the different series again they have been released on DVD, some in large boxsets. This animated comedy created by Seth MacFarlane centres around the Griffin family. The show relies on parody for much of its comedy, often poking fun at American Culture, and pushing the envelope with crude humour. The show is often controversial and has faced several lawsuits in the past. Aside from the Griffin family, the show has a colourful cast of characters including their sex-crazed, perverted neighbour Glenn Quagmire ; the cop-next-door, who is a paraplegic in a wheelchair, Joe Swanson , and his wife Bonnie ; and Adam West who plays himself as the mayor Quahog. Say what you will about the crude humour, Family Guy is a huge success.
